We strongly believe in partnership work and are keen to continue to develop links with like-minded local organisations. A number of organisations have expressed support and/or work with Norwich & Norfolk Community Arts. These include:
The City Council has been very supportive of NORCA. They have provided support funding for a number of projects, supported the development of the Pavilion for the four years we were there and, through the Sure Futures Programme, continue to enable us to develop our provision in the city.
The County Council has continually expressed support for our programmes, and funds the Norfolk Carnival Network and Carnival Development. The Norfolk Arts Forum continues to be an important networking and information opportunity for local arts organisations.
NORCA has had a long-term involvement with the Performing Arts Department at City College. They were a principle user of the Pavilion, before moving to the Garage. We have provided induction activities for students and for two years delivered the community music module on the HND in Music. The college is an important local organisation, not least as a progression path for project participants, and we look forward to working more with them in the future.
A vital organistion in the funding and promotion of the arts, NORCA has received Arts Council support for developing cultural diversity and for our Carnival Development programme. We continue to build our relationship with this important agency.
A major arts agency in Norfolk, NORCA has worked with CAE on a number of partnership projects.
As a member of the Sure Futures Core Group, NORCA has works alongside the Academy Trust as part of developing and delivering that programme.
A countrywide organisation providing music training at all levels, we worked together to develop an unsuccessful bid to the Learning and Skills Council. Access to Music students and tutors have been involved in a number of NORCA projects. AtM forms a pathway for participants of our programmes.
We are very pleased to be working with Future Projects, the community music and radio project based in the North Earlham, Larkman and Marlpit area of Norwich. NORCA has worked in partnership with Future Projects on a number of initiatives, most recently Sure Futures and the In Harmony Project.
CME are a very important organisation locally with regards to community music. We have supported and promoted each others programmes and they are partners on the Sure Futures Core Group.
A new, visual art community provider, they are partners on the Sure Future Core Group.
The Phoenix Centre offers an important local resource and focus for community arts activity and development. NORCA was based there between July 2006 and September 2009.
NORCA has close ties with Norwich Samba and has worked with them on a number of projects, including Vocal Explosion, Monobloco, Samba Development and Back to the Streets.
Redfish Bluefish have provided support for developing a community video resource.
