Norwich Olympic Torch Relay
To celebrate the Olympic Torch Relay Project coming to Norwich on 4th July 2012, Norwich City Council commissioned the Creative Communities Consortium to provide 8 coordinated artistic/cultural happenings on the Torch Route, offering key inspirational moments for the audience and engaging people from across the city in the Relay event. NORCA (one of the founding members of the consortium) took on the core Artistic Direction and Management role.
The result was a day that, everyone agreed, showed Norwich at its creative best, celebrating this special event and providing one of the best responses of any city in the UK to the visit of the Torch.
