The Norfolk Carnival Network brings together carnival practitioners, organisers and enthusiasts from across the county to share information and ideas, and work together to develop carnival in the region.

The Norfolk Carnival Network was started in September 2002 following a two-day carnival seminar funded by Awards for All and Jump II. It was recognised that carnival in Norfolk needed a range of support and opportunity for development. The network was created to bring together people engaged or interested in carnival from across the county to share information and ideas, and work together to develop carnival in the region.

This webpage has been made possible as a result of funding received from Norfolk County Council to support the Network. It provides a central point for information on carnivals and carnival events in Norfolk and through the website we will be developing a range of resources for organisers, groups, practitioners and volunteers.  Funding has also enabled us to provide other support, such as the carnival arts workshops we set up in April and May 2006, in Gorleston, Long Stratton and Sheringham.

If you are involved in carnival and want to be added to our mailing list and/or have details on the website, please contact us for further information.

If you have suggestions for what you would like to see on this webpage please get in touch.

The County Council has a small projects fund (up to £1,000) that carnival groups might like to try as a source of funding. Check out the Arts Project Fund.
