Norwich ID was a programme aimed at getting young people from the city to explore what is special about where they come from, its history, heritage and culture. Working with Norwich City Council, the Portrait of a Nation initiative, Liverpool Culture Company and funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund, NORCA delivered a series of photography and creative writing workshops for young people at Hewett High School in Norwich. The project culminated in several public exhibitions, including the Norwich ID 'Unconvention' held at St. Andrew's Hall, October 2008, Frank's Café Bar in December and the Norwich Assembly House in February 2009. The varied combination of work shows the photographers' individual approaches in exploring subject matter and their areas of Norwich.
