In June 2007 Guillermo Rozenthuler came to Norwich.

Argentinean born, Guillermo Rozenthuler is a versatile vocalist, guitarist and composer with a growing reputation. He leads Rioplatenses, a band featuring some of the UK's top Latin musicians. On his first visit to Norwich, Guillermo's performance combined original compositions with his distinctive and evocative take on traditional South American folk song, accompanied by Brazilian percussionist Eduardo 'Dudu' Marques. Guillermo's repertoire combines Amerindian rhythms such as chacarera and huayno from Argentina, candombe from Uruguay, lando from Afro-Peru and Brazilian samba and baiao with elements of jazz improvisation. Guillermo will took us on an unforgettable musical journey through South America, stopping off for the occasional Tango en route

As well as performing Guillermo ran singing workshop aimed at men and women of all ages and levels. The workshop was led by Guillermo Rozenthuler, a dynamic London-based Argentine singer and voice teacher, with extensive expertise in World Music and a unique approach to vocal training. The session was an invitation to explore and develop your vocal potential in a relaxed and warm atmosphere. No previous experience or sight-reading was needed.

Guillermo also ran a vocal masterclass it was an exciting opportunity to get focussed input to improve your vocal technique with a highly sought after vocal coach. In this session with Guillermo, participants worked on a song of their choosing in a supportive environment, getting individual input and support.
